There’s a moment in every hiring process that just feels right. That moment when everything aligns and the answer is clear… this is the one.
For both the client and the candidate, this is a milestone. Two people who didn’t know each other weeks ago now went through conversations, expectations, questions, negotiations… and finally, a decision is made. An offer is extended, accepted, and a new chapter begins.
We love that moment. Because behind that “you’re hired” there’s a full journey. There’s intention from the client side, and there’s effort, preparation, and hope from the candidate side. It’s not just a transaction, it’s a connection that has real impact on both lives and businesses.
But for us, the process doesn’t end there. One thing we are very mindful of is what happens to everyone else involved, the candidates who showed up, who prepared, who completed assessments, and who made it far into the process but didn’t get selected. We believe it matters.
It never feels right when a company opens a position, receives dozens of applications, runs interviews… and only the hired candidate hears back. There’s real time, energy, and expectation invested by every person in that process.
So we make it a point to follow up. To close the loop respectfully, to communicate, to acknowledge their effort, and to let them know that just because it wasn’t the right fit this time, it doesn’t mean the door is closed. In many cases, it’s just timing.
We keep them in mind, we stay connected, and when a new opportunity comes up that aligns with their experience and strengths, we reach back out.
Because recruiting, the way we see it, is not just about filling a role. It’s about building relationships that can make sense today or later. So whether you’re hiring or you’re a candidate going through the process, know this: we care about both sides. We care about getting it right for our clients, and we care about treating candidates with the respect they deserve.
That’s how we work at RevUp.
